What is StartGroup?
StartGroup is a utility for Windows that works like a shortcut to launch and manage multiple programs from a single click.
Let's say you have two or more programs that you always want to use at the same time (e.g. an RPG game, and a UI mod for tracking your game character's inventory). Normally you would launch the programs separately each time you want to use them, and then close each of them when you are finished.
StartGroup let's you organize and combine all of these programs into a single .startgroup shortcut.
- One click to launch start all programs in the StartGroup.
- One click to kill all programs in the StartGroup.
- Keep track of which programs are still running.
- Automatically close the StartGroup, if desired, when the Primary program exits.
- Choose which programs in the StartGroup need to run with elevated status.
Installation
- Download the zip file from the link above.
- Extract the contents to a location of your choice.
- Run the installer StartGroupSetup.msi
Uninstallation
- Use the windows Add and Remove Programs tool to uninstall StartGroup
